Retirement Commission chooses Sparks Interactive as its web agency

14 April 2008
The Retirement Commission has chosen web agency Sparks Interactive as its preferred supplier, having held an open tender for the contract.

The appointment sees Sparks Interactive working with the Commission’s two websites – retirement.org.nz and the award-winning sorted.org.nz – for a further two years. Sparks Interactive has been the Commission’s web agency since 2005.

Since 2001, sorted.org.nz has recorded 4.4 million unique visitor sessions and New Zealanders have made more than 13.1 million calculations on the website.

Marketing and Communications Manager David Kneebone says the open tender was valuable in helping to ensure the Commission has the best agency for the work. “Our decision was due to two factors - Sparks Interactive presented a very strong proposal and we weren’t presented with enough reason to consider changing agencies.”

Sparks Interactive Managing Director Dave Sparks says they are delighted to continue working with the Retirement Commission. “We are thrilled to be back working with Sorted and the Commission. We believe 100% in the importance of the financial education programme for all New Zealanders, and look forward to building on the outstanding success of the work to date.”
