If a complaint has not been resolved within 20 working days of the complaint being made, the issue may be dealt with by a disputes panel.
The panel is made up of members chosen from a list of independent adjudicators approved by the Retirement Commissioner. The Act and the disputes panel regulations set out a detailed procedure for formal dispute resolution.
For disputes about the sale or disposal of a residential unit, no complaint needs to be made first as long as it's been nine months since the unit became available for disposal.
